Love and Prayers for Jagathy Sreekumar

Jagathy Sreekumar, one of my favorite actors, is in the hospital following a car accident. According to the latest news, his condition is stable, but he's still on a ventilator.

I hope and pray that he will recover fully and return to acting as soon as possible.

Casanovva: Fans love it, but critics disappointed

While there are reports that the new Rosshan Andrews movie, Casanovva, is a hit among viewers, the critics don't seem to like it. The general consensus seems to be that the director has given importance to style over substance.

Best & Worst of the Malayalam movies I watched in 2011

I thought I'd make a list of my favorites and some not so favorite Malayalam movies I watched in 2011. Not all of them were made or released in 2011.

This lists are written in the order I remembered the names.

  • Chappa Kurish
  • Sakudumbam Shyamala
  • Edavela
  • Gulumaal
  • Best Actor
  • Indian Rupee
  • Malabar Wedding
  • Salt N' Pepper

The following movies were also pretty good, but I just didn't want to include them in a list of favorites:
  • Robinhood
  • Anwar
  • City of God
  • Snehaveedu

New Year's Resolution

For the year 2012, I resolve to do the following:

  • watch more malayalam movies
  • make more frequent posts on this blog

I haven't been very good at following through on my resolutions in the past, and the older one gets, the tougher it is to change.

Wish me good luck!
